Access is gained to the unit by presenting a swipe card. All equipment ready for hire is stored on shelves and each item is electronically tagged using RFID technology, which automatically logs the tool as being on hire when it is removed. When equipment is returned, a hire report is produced to enable the generation of a consolidated invoice. Equipment that is damaged or needs servicing is placed in a quarantine area of the unit...
